Sub-Machine Gun: AK74u

This gun is now becoming increasingly popular. I'd say it's probably the 2nd most used gun behind FAMAS.

I used this gun initially just for nuketown, it was alright but didnt necessarily fit my style of play.

I felt this gun was pretty much an all-around weapon, I cant really think of a flaw that sticks out.

This maybe a little interesting, but when i was scheduling us to play the wP clan, they asked me if "AK74u with rapid fire is allowed". I didnt see a problem with it or ever heard of a problem with it for that matter, so i allowed it, but just said no noobtubing.

(Note: wP told me they'll only use AK74u with rapid fire only if we had initially used it on them first. I dont think any of us used the gun in our battle anyway.)

I'm guessing some clans out there are maybe seeing the AK74u with rapid fire as cheap. But i'm not entirely sure about that one because Fool made a good point but how rapid fire drains your bullets quickly and if they dont have a scavenger perk on they are screwed.

But I also I can see how wP would consider it cheap with the gun having good damage and a fast fire rate to begin with. It's a good debate in my opinion but overall i wouldnt necessarily see it in the same category as the noob tube.

However, it would be interesting to hear everyone's thoughts on this matter though.

well the rapid fire is a HACK its one of the many so there is a difference between it shooting fast and then it shooting Rapidly u know

AFAIK on the Wii version there is a glitch that only allows rapid fire to work on the sub-machine guns that don't have 30-20 damage per bullet (or just works on the MPK5, Skorpion, and AK74u). Seeing as how equipping Rapid Fire to an AK74u makes it superior in just about every way to any other sub-machine gun I can understand why some would think it's cheap.

I think WP tore our asses up with this. Once they knew we didn't 'know' how effective it was, they all equiped and used it, I think.

I mean, why else were we dropping like flies? I couldn't even get off a shot most of the time before I was dead. Rapid Fire could be the culprit.

I believe its being fixed with the next patch.
